I was reading Heather's thread about how a smile sends out positive energy. I thought the discussion on physical "beauty" was interesting.
As an American woman I could be held hostage to the popular media perception (or misconception) of beautiful. I refuse to do that.
I do not read women's magazines. I do not think "emaciated" is sexy. I think Atkins is wacked--I love Bread! I do not need anyone to complete me rather I want someone who complements me. I want a Barbie made with a realistic body image!!!!
I could go on but you get the picture. Anyway been thinking of this a lot because I have a young daughter who I want to raise as a tolerant person who sees good in everyone especially herself.
I think it is interesting that in this forum what's on the inside is more important than what's on the outside.
