Ok I know how really really crazy this sounds and I have not posted it about it before because I know how crazy it sounds but I think I have a ghost at my place! I have felt this presence a couple times before but this morning while I was getting ready for work the strangest thing happened. I was messing with my hair and saw something move out of the corner of my eye and turned to look to see what it was and a towel hanging over the shower rod was swinging back and forth. I just looked at it trying to determine what had made it start swinging - it wasn't me I was at least two feet away and then I got goose bumps and felt a lot colder. I'm telling you it was the weirdest damn thing! Any thoughts? Has anyone had anything like this happen to them?

Why should it sound crazy Sun? A lot of people have had stuff like this happen to them. I think Jenna wrote sometime back about stuff like this happening. Hers was a lot scary though.
Could be just a spirit. Pay attention to how you feel the next time thisf happens...negative or positive?

Re: ghost? Hi Manjee! The first two times it happened I got a negative feeling and told it to leave. This morning was not as negative but I didn't get a happy feeling from it either.
Also I forgot to mention there are several cemetaries near me. I pass two on the way to work everyday and there are at least two others that I know of within 10 miles. I have also felt this thing outside.

Re: ghost? i feel the same...actually I see movements in the corner of my eye...something that it was not happening before but lately plus all that beeping on 11 makes things even more-interesting.
I also had an impression to move manny times latelly.
One night when my husb. was away working I had like an invasion of beepings and very strong feeling of Presence. It felt like some powerful and childish spirit.
Once I saw It( dark silouette) comming from a digital clock. Like Digital clock was a portal for spirits.

Re: ghost? That's interesting Lena. A friend told me that she felt a portal for spirits was in double reflections-
like a window being reflected in a mirror...or glass on a picture or cabinet door. She felt very sure the presence was entering that way - she does smoke a lot of weed though!
I think that spirit presence around you could very well be part of yourself. I think we are more than we realize and that there are many pieces to our being.

Re: ghost? Yes another part of the psyche that wants/ needs attention? It is interesting to me how many ghost movies have involved reflections such as with mirrors glass or water. And then there are the fairy tales involving mirrors. (Through the Looking Glass; Snow White.) This is why I made a scrying mirror one time because I was curious to see if I would be able to see anything with it. Unfortunately it broke when I moved. I'll have to make a new one one of these days.

I've had similar instances. Usually while dreaming or during that period in between sleep and awake but also sometimes while fully awake. It was definitely feeding on my FEAR. I finally told God that if it was his intention to have this thing torment me then so be it but I would no longer be afraid. I had the scariest experience of my life but it no longer causes me any fear and its activity has been greatly reduced.

Re: ghost? The way I look at it is... feeding fear breeds fear... don't get me wrong.. I have been freaked out and scared myself for many years until I found a way to work with it and control it.. developing my mediumship abilities has helped tremendously...
I firmly believe knowledge is power... if you fear something.. search what it is.. this can help you figure out why it scares you..if you don't understand... inform yourself...know what your condeming or celebrating...only then are you giving the subject and yourself respect..
Running and hiding ( denile.. you guys know anyone living in denile?? LOL)...just feeds fear and you loses control....and when you don't have control.. thats when.. "things" happen and more fear starts...ahhh the cycle....*giggle*
*side note* some of you have mentioned seeing things out of the corner of your eye... that has happened to me alot.. what I do now is not to turn and look to focus on it.. I keep my eyes still... and "see" with my peripheral vision...the thing is... what your seeing does not disappear when you turn to look your ability to see it with your focused eye does. The light changes and so does you mind set...as soon as you set limits...you close off your mind...this is like life in alot of ways....

Re: ghost? For me it wasn't really fear per se it was this funky feeling that wasn't a good happy feeling in the house with us - now I know why she's not happy! Anyway she made herself known by moving that towel the way she did! She also fucked with my stereo.

The first time I felt presents I was freaked out!!!!!
But over time and a lot of reassuring myself not to be scared the feelings got better.
Have you ever heard of Smug. Every now and then I smug my house. It is supposed to get ride of negative energy. Whether it works or not I like the way it smells.

Re: ghost? presences arent terrible until they start to semi materialize around your bed at night and with my ability to sense the spirits or whatever they are it is quite unsettling. I usually use some sorta binding type of 'spell' or whatever you want to call it i just invision a clear light eminating around the area i want cleansed and focus my energy and presto the 'things' go away....unless you anger them and they mess with your dreams...but lets not get into that..
there is nothing to fear tho they are most likely some traveling souls waiting for their next incarnation

Re: ghost? Yup! I have had it whenever I go out for long walks each night.
Now I'm used to it but it all started in January last year. Each night when I went to stroll I often felt there is someone walking with me. I spot the "GHOST" (if I may use your keyword here) from the corner of my eye. Sometimes it would just behind me walking step by step you know the kind of feeling when one is standing is in a line one knows there is someone behind.. Walking inches to each step of his.. I felt the same. Walking over dry leaves I'd often heard footsteps other than my own in one or twos' . I'd run away until or walk fast partially believing it exist and it doesn't.
Then I saw that movie of Shyamlin's movie in which there is a little kid who sees ghost all the time and then Bruce Willis helps him out (Bruce himself was ghost) I just got an idea that may be someone needs help :-) .. my help..
In time I realized its not that the "ghost" didn't need help but it was me. whenever i felt out of the world kicked or dumped It gave me a sense of relief gave me answers may be directed to 1111 so slowly in my life. I slowly started to have a sense that I have someone all the time.
Now I know that what I thought to be ghost isn't a ghost but the guide (guides) who try to help us and direct our life's to help us recall the higher (THE MORE). I believe so its not required to believe by anyone else who doesn't want this idea. It is more on personal level and every one is having their-own path. but as a soul group may be we all are directed and helped by the same set of guides who try to show us in some way that we goto see them listen and hear to them because its us who needs help. So much if we are to achieve some purpose.. whatever the books say or anything else.
Very recently I've started to be really close to them. I don't get into trance I don't hae rituals or dance around the bush on fire (No not President Bush!) When I walk or drive or sleep I know I'm open to help now so that I may be what I need to become to help those who haven't yet noticed them.
I like to believe (or in my case I'll say I know) .. They are the one's in our team encouraging us but sometimes trying to get our attention if we are too hard to notice them otherwise.
I don't' want you to take this theory as religion just be on your own.. and try to talk to it.. he'll tell you...who is he.. (and I don't know how to put it than being just writing it like this:

I'd got all these very recently you know I just say to my self ok I'll listen
I don't think so I've heard the names language or any as such. if it comes I know they are identifying themselves and giving hints.. why and what for ... I don't know that yet..

No this was not a spirit guide. I have been lucky enough to be open to spirit guides although I don't know their names yet. Still working on that. This was diffent. This was something that wanted my attention but was not there to help me as spirit guides are. I appreciate your honesty though!

Re: ghost? Not many reason to believe that souls turn into a ghost.. Souls are us and most likely if we are in a porblem we would be more likely into a "Situation".. a time that we might get stuck in before the realization that our purpose is to grow.
You experience with that ghost who needs your attention might be your some past itself that only you could grow up and release. You know .. a kind of ENGRAM !! Can you find any relaiton between 1111 and it and you.. ANY .. ANY ... ANY ?
Don't worry .. about the names... may be I've got ultrasonic sound sytem installed in me :)

Engram is an incident trapped in your mind.. you won't conciously realise it but it affects all you daily decisions and even the things you might percieve. THe engram is that blocked pattern or energy.. that when you throw light upon you relese it.. It dinetic sciences.. however I do not wnat you to concentrate in the field of dinetic because I just picked up a thechnical term from there...
THe experience that you have might be just an engram from some life you are planning to work in this life (apologies if I'm too dead with words) .. sOme pattern that your guides try to give you and which inturn you feel negative about.. the experience might be negative.. but if its comeing to you.. it is for you positive.. I have so many crazy experiences that I feel emabrassed talking about them.. but trust me.. each an every ghost you experience is ghost of your own shadow.. There is such guy as devil too.. Next time you experience.. just let it be... and smile !! I'm sure he'll fall for that ;-)

Re: ghost? quantum physics explains that it is all in the eye of the beholder (observer). whatever it is to the majority is usually what it is to you. ghosts are no different. most people including many of those who say they don't are afraid of and believe in GHOSTS. a group of about six quatum physicists did an experiment where they compiled personal data including full name birthdate and life story about a fictitious man. it took a year to put together. when they were finished they had a seance and tried to produce their guy. they tried repeatedly for a full year. no response! then they found out that it had already been accomplished by others but they had a party instead. the scientists tried again with a full blown party atmosphere. this time their made up spirit started answering specific questions with thumps and moving objects upon request! that doesn't mean you aren't tapping into the information superhighway and retreiving ghosts it's just that you are in control and there is never anything to fear or do. unless of course you choose to bring hitler's hologram of information back! then you're on your own! since i have learned this advanced scientific understanding of ghosts i have had much less occurances i am no longer afraid of it and i am aware that i am producing it or calling it forward for some reason. they CANNOT hurt you unless you choose to be hurt! good luck sun!

i was lying on the couch when i felt this weight upon me. i couldnt see anything but it felt like a person. i was being held down and i started to struggle. as i did it suddenly materialized. it was george w bush!
he had used his super powers to try and rape me! turns out hes gay and so over-expresses his hate for gay marriage. well the jig is up mr. president. ive exposed you for what you are! and once again- NO! you cant marry me!
sheesh.

I have had similar experience in the Antebellum house I used to docent in. In the "master"-main bedroom adjacent to the nursery I felt something with me and had a coldness literally pass through me. It was a little unnerving at the time but not necessarily malevolent feeling. I do think past energy from people also "imprints" on certain places. Also lived in a house sold to us by a widow. I am certain her husband's imprint was still within the house. I got used to him occupying along with us.
Fortunately I have had no experience with anything that felt "wrong" or negative. I have even been asked by a friend if I felt an imprint of his girlfriend (also a friend of mine) who committed suicide in his bedroom. Thankfully it felt completely empty to me.

Anyway I watched a brief documentary on one of the cable stations this last weekend that was very timely. It was about haunted houses and the guy being interviewed was able to capture "ghost writing" on film. It was quite interesting and the scientists could not debunk the story as much as they tried.

If I put a ghost into such an observation I would say it is clearly up to me to what I feel or I am made to feel by me. the ghost is an experience which mught be neccessary experience for us as souls to know something more.. for example the ghost likes to sit on Micheal !! Why has he chosen micheal.. is it suggesting him that he's loosing his workout plans each day (LOL..) ..quite a possiblity..
Any ghost or incident is an example for us to learn.. the one that lets us learn is an example of a guide... What else can be ghost.. if I die.. and I want to trouble you there might be a role that I need to grow onto and you need to learn so that you don't become one.. the higher guide made us leanr through his plan.. thats a ghost story....
and names I have .. I don't know how the hell I got'em... but Im not afraid..none of us should be...
