GiGi May 13 04 - 7:35 PM | Sensing the Preferential Numbers Does anyone here have the experience of being able to sense numbers? Silly question eh... Just thought I'd ask since this forum is called "11:11"... heh heh. :) Anyway I've noticed that when I go to the gas station if it's one that I've never visited I can almost shut my eyes (craasshh! uh-oh) and find the odd- numbered gas pumps. You see I have this strong preference for odd numbers. (I guess it takes one to know one?) I am leery of #2 and #8 (long story) and I'm not too wild about #4 or #6 either. So if I accidentally pull up to an even- numbered gas pump I will turn the car around. Tonight when I was getting gas I drove into a station I'm not familiar with. I shut my eyes for just a second and *KNEW* which gas pumps to avoid. With my gas cap on the left side of my car it would have been most convenient the way I was coming into the station to pull into the even- numbered pumps but I intuitively sensed I'd need to turn my car around. Oh yes. There was the dreaded "2" staring right at me with all of its even- numbered buddies lined up just right. No thank you. :) So I drove around those buddies and found my happy #5. Yayyy number 5! (I saw the Number 5 in Blue: http://groups.msn.com/WorldofGigi ) So anyway to bring a long story to an end I got a little bit of emergency gas at pump #5 tonight and I sealed my happy moment by telling the gas pump to stop at another happy number. I shut my eyes for a few seconds stopped the pump when it felt "just right"... My gallons: 3.134 [smile] gigi |
Zera Starchild May 13th 2004 - 9:35 PM | Re: Sensing the Preferential Numbers That's interesting Gigi. Let me ask you something. Do you think numbers are energy. I mean do you think they resonate a certain kind of vibration. In other words does the number 7 resonate a different vibration a different frequency than say the number 3. I've often thought so and I'm not necessarily talking about the study of numerology. This is strictly an intuitive thing I've always felt. I just felt there was special energy that I wanted to attract to myself attached to certain numbers. Like the number 13 has always been very good for me though superstition labels it unlucky. I always figured it was because I was born on the 13th of the month. But I relate alot with the number and the 13th card in tarot (the Death Card) is my favorite card (it's not about a physical death it's symbolic). What do you think? |
GiGi May 13th 2004 - 11:15 PM | Re: Sensing the Preferential Numbers Hi Zera Yes I absolutely for sure definitely without a doubt believe numbers carry certain vibrations. So do letters of the alphabet. (I am an anagrammer so I have seen my proof of this.) I think this is why people are drawn to certain places things and relationships; likewise why there are sometimes feelings of aversion or avoidance. My stepfather and my sister both chemically- dependent people were very #2 types. My sister was born 2-22 for instance. My stepfather's birthday came out to a #2. The worst years of my life as an adult were spent living in an apartment with a #22 on the door. So I developed a fear and aversion of #22 without really being conscious of it. I've had quite a bit of bad luck with the 22. Conversely my sister whose birthday really comes out to #11 fell from a ladder and broke her back on November 11th one year. (11-11-1984... 1984 = 22... "of course".) You mentioned #13. Could there be a connection between your fascination for the number and the strong interest in lunar cycles... to the point of writing a book on the subject? 13 lunar months in the year... mmmhmmm. And yes I know about the Death card in the Tarot. You and I have talked about Number 8 a time or two; well I have always thought of Number 8 and 13 having a lot in common. Both numbers are so concerned with death and transformation rebirth continuance. Yes each number carries its own vibration. Having Synesthesia this is even visually apparent to me. Number 7 has always looked like a shimmering Indigo Blue with a touch of Violet. I love the look of Number 7 and I so admire its mystical qualities. I myself resonate strongest with Number 1 and Number 5. When dealing with even numbers I like to see them alongside one odd number. Why is that I don't know. Take 4 and 6 for example such feminine numbers. They look more beautiful together than separately in my mind. But add an odd number and they gain extra power and balance. 1-4-6... beautiful. And I've been seeing that combination a lot lately. gigi |
| ponyexpress May 14th 2004 - 6:50 AM | Re: Sensing the Preferential Numbers YES zera it's ALL about the ENERGY! i eluded to this in my "11:11 in lights" post. i can always "feel" the energy produced from the numbers that come to me on their own if i don't think into it too much or force it. as for you gigi and your gas pumps that may be good natural intuitive energy at work if it is in your best interest to have to deal with it. what the difference between a pump numbered 3 or numbered 4 is beyond me. if it doesn't become a supersition or ritual and doesn't create a block in your ability to function in life then i guess it is just right. be careful though you don't want to separate yourself from things good or "bad". whatever is is! try and enjoy it all! even numbered gas pumps can be "good" also! pony :) |
GiGi May 14th 2004 - 9:22 AM | Re: Sensing the Preferential Numbers I meant to say I can also sense East West North and South. Anyone else have a knack for that? It can really come in handy. I rarely get lost when traveling. Someday I'm going to try the blindfold experiment and see if I can feel the 4 points with no visual clues whatsoever. Of course I will need a partner in such an experiment for verification purposes LOL. But I have done other blindfold experiments and they are always fun. If you spend a few hours blindfolded in your own home for instance you can you change your pattern in sensing giving a little more power to the auditory tactile olfactory etc. gigi |
lynda May 14th 2004 - 9:30 AM | Re: Sensing the Preferential Numbers Hey Gigi me too. Directions that is. I feel like I could be dropped into a field and I would know which way was which. But I would be happy to play the blindfold game- I love experiments! Funny thing I will say left for right or vice versa but I would never turn the wrong way. That's why I just point when people ask. I have no concept of time yet I am pulled to see the encoded messages on clocks... |
